Due to the widespread of COVID-19 and lockdown in majority of the countries, the Council has decided to extend the deadline for the submission of Expression of Interest Form for the World Traditional Sports and Games 2022.
In a letter addressed to the Ministers of Sports and Culture of interested governments, Mr. Shammi Rana mentioned "The ICTSG stands behind the TSG community and hereby offers its hand of facilitation by way of extending the deadline for submission of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and relevant supporting documentation for hosting the First World Traditional Sports and Games in 2022 from 15th May 2020 to 30th September 2020."
He further wrote that the decision has been made to enable Member States to prepare their EOIs in a timely manner keeping in view the present lockdown situation around the Globe and to provide an equal opportunity to all the Member States.
