The Mongolian Traditional Archery Federation has started its preparation for the organization of the "1000 Preadolescent Archers" competition in 2023 which will be the first of its kind to be held in Mongolia. The event will allow junior archers to join the practice of traditional Mongolian archery.

His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the President of the Philippines sent a Goodwill Message to the International Council of Traditional Sports and Games on the occasion of the International Day of Traditional Sports and Games.

His Excellency Dr. Arif Alvi, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan said that traditional sports and games can offer a sense of belonging and partnership and have the power to reach marginalized groups and individuals in his Official Message on the occasion of the International Day of Traditional Sports and Games being held on 14 August.

Since the 1940s, traditional archery holds a special place in the hearts of the Mongols and this year 2020 marks the 80^th anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian Traditional Archery Federation.

Traditional sports and cultural festival was held at Meadows Resort in Lahore, Pakistan during the month of January 2022. The event included competitions of different Pakistani traditional sports including Kabaddi, Ludo, Bander Killa and Cocla Chipaki. 

The International Council of Traditional Sports and Games and Government of Mongolia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for future cooperation and promotion of traditional sports and games particularly in Mongolia.
