Mr.Khalil Ahmed Khan Chairman UNESCO's Adhoc Advisory Committee on Traditional Sports and Games attended the Plenary Session Meeting of UNESCO Permanent  Delegations (Asia-Pacific Group) in January 2019 at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris. He presented the TSG project to the worthy Ambassadors of the respective Member States. The forum was chaired by the Permanent Ambassador of Japan In UNESCO/France.  The presentation was met with enthusiasm and support, with the Ambassadors expressing their full backing for the development and promotion of traditional sports and games under the auspices of UNESCO.

During this event, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan formally joined the UNESCO TSG Group of Friends by signing a Letter of Commitment, further strengthening the global support for the initiative. This collaboration highlights the ongoing efforts to safeguard and promote traditional sports across the Asia-Pacific region, emphasizing cultural heritage and community engagement through sports.
