PUBLIC NOTICE Concerning the Authorized Representation and Institutional Identity of the International Council of Traditional Sports and Games (ICTSG)

The International Council of Traditional Sports and Games (ICTSG) issues this Public Notice in the interest of transparency, institutional accountability, and the protection of its legal identity, governance framework, members, partners, governmental authorities, international organizations, National Councils of Traditional Sports and Games, sports federations, educational institutions, donors, media organizations, and the wider Traditional Sports and Games (TSG) community.

This Notice is intended to clarify the identity of the persons and organizations duly authorized to represent ICTSG and to minimize the risk of misunderstanding or reliance upon communications or representations that have not been issued or approved by the competent governing authorities of ICTSG.

It has recently come to ICTSG's attention that certain individuals have, unlawfully and without due authorization, been using the ICTSG name and platform. In particular, ICTSG hereby confirms that Mr. Shammi Rana, who was formerly appointed as General Secretary of ICTSG, no longer holds any office, appointment, mandate, or representative authority within the organization since January 2025, following an internal disciplinary governance action taken in accordance with ICTSG's constitutional procedures resulting in the termination of said appointment. This determination still remains the official institutional position of ICTSG unless subsequently modified or superseded by the competent authority.

Similarly, ICTSG further confirms that the individual named Ms. Filipina Rana also holds no office, appointment, mandate, or representative authority within ICTSG, and has never been authorized by ICTSG's duly constituted governing bodies to file, own, or maintain any official application or registrations before regulatory entities on ICTSG's behalf, or otherwise to act as its agent or representative in any capacity.

Accordingly, neither Mr. Shammi Rana nor Ms. Filipina Rana is authorized to represent ICTSG, to make commitments on its behalf, to issue appointments, to execute agreements, to file applications or registrations in its name, or otherwise to act as an officer, representative, or agent of ICTSG.

ICTSG further clarifies that any representations, appointments, commitments, registrations, contractual arrangements, financial arrangements, or other acts purportedly undertaken on behalf of ICTSG without authorization from its duly constituted governing bodies are not recognized as official acts of ICTSG and shall not create any rights, obligations, or liabilities binding upon the organization.

Without limitation, this clarification extends to any purported corporate registrations, tax registrations, banking arrangements, contractual undertakings, correspondence with governmental authorities, international organizations, United Nations agencies, donors, sponsors, or third parties that were not expressly authorized in accordance with ICTSG's constitutional governance procedures.

ICTSG confirms that its only recognized governance structure is that set out in its own constitutional and organizational documents. For the avoidance of doubt, the offices of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) do not exist within ICTSG's governance structure or its approved organizational framework at present. Any representation by any person claiming to hold such offices should be independently verified with ICTSG through its official channels.

Furthermore, ICTSG has also become aware of instances in which its name, logo, institutional identity, branding, or other identifying materials appear to have been used in communications, websites, social media platforms, electronic publications, registrations, or related materials without authorization from ICTSG's duly constituted governing bodies.

ICTSG neither confirms nor endorses any publication, communication, representation, appointment, registration, or activity issued in its name unless such communication originates from, or has been expressly authorized by, its competent governing authorities.

The unauthorized use of ICTSG's name, logo, trademarks, institutional identity, or intellectual property may give rise to legal consequences under applicable national and international laws relating to intellectual property, trademark protection, unfair competition, corporate identity, and related legal principles.

ICTSG respectfully requests that governments, ministries, National Councils of Traditional Sports and Games, National Olympic Committees, sports federations, UNESCO stakeholders, educational institutions, sponsors, donors, development partners, media organizations, and members of the public verify the credentials of any individual or organization claiming to represent ICTSG before entering into correspondence, financial transactions, institutional cooperation, contractual arrangements, or other engagements through verify@traditionalsportsgames.org

The official list of ICTSG office bearers, governing bodies, commissions, committees, accredited members, institutional announcements, and official communications is published exclusively through the official ICTSG website: https://traditionalsportsgames.org

Nothing contained in this Public Notice shall be construed as limiting or waiving any legal, equitable, contractual, statutory, or intellectual property rights available to ICTSG under applicable national or international law. ICTSG expressly reserves the right to pursue any administrative, civil, regulatory, or other legal remedies that may be available for the protection of its name, institutional identity, trademarks, intellectual property, governance structure, assets, reputation, and other legally protected interests.

This Public Notice is issued solely for the purpose of protecting the integrity of ICTSG, promoting transparency, preventing public confusion, and facilitating accurate verification of the organization's duly authorized representatives.
