The International Council of Traditional Sports and Games (ICTSG) wishes to address certain statements and references that have recently appeared on external platforms and social media channels purporting to represent the Council's official positions, internal decisions, or leadership communications.

ICTSG wishes to clarify that the Council has not authorized any such disclosures. Ongoing dialogues between ICTSG's governing bodies, affiliated organizations, member chapters, and partner institutions are internal matters. These discussions are subject to the Council's established governance procedures, and any premature or unauthorized disclosure of such communications is considered a breach of the ICTSG Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimers to which all members and affiliated parties are bound.

The Council reaffirms that official statements, policy positions, and governance decisions are communicated exclusively through authorized channels: the official ICTSG website (traditionalsportsgames.org), official email communications from @traditionalsportsgames.org addresses, and verified ICTSG social media accounts. Any statement, document, or claim not originating from these channels does not represent the official position of ICTSG and should not be relied upon.

Strengthened Verification Measures

In light of these developments, ICTSG has implemented enhanced verification protocols for all official communications. Effective immediately, all official ICTSG documents — including appointment letters, membership certificates, partnership agreements, and policy announcements — are issued with digital security seals and QR verification codes. These can be authenticated through the ICTSG Verification Portal at verify.traditionalsportsgames.org.

Stakeholders, partners, and members who receive communications or documents claiming to be from ICTSG are strongly encouraged to verify their authenticity through the portal before taking any action based on such communications.

Call for Responsible Communication

ICTSG calls on all affiliated members, regional coordinators, partner organizations, and individuals to adhere to the Council's established communication protocols. Those with concerns or queries regarding ICTSG's official positions are encouraged to communicate directly with the Secretariat at Office@traditionalsportsgames.org.
