The International Council of Traditional Sports and Games (ICTSG) and the Government of Mongolia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for future cooperation to promote and safeguard traditional sports and games, particularly within Mongolia.

This agreement was made during a visit to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where ICTSG President Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan and his delegation attended a scientific conference organized by Mongolia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports. During the conference, Mr. Khan emphasized the importance of Traditional Sports and Games (TSG) in global heritage and their role in promoting cultural understanding.

The MoU outlines a framework for joint efforts between ICTSG and the Mongolian government to advance the development and preservation of traditional sports. Both parties have committed to aligning their actions with the goals of Sustainable Development and enhancing the popularity of traditional games in Mongolia.

The agreement marks an important milestone in ICTSG’s ongoing mission to preserve indigenous sports worldwide, particularly in regions with rich cultural heritage like Mongolia.
