MANDATE The committee's mandate includes advising on criteria for including new sports in the ICTSG Online Encyclopedia, reviewing SRETS Framework applications, providing guidance on partnerships with intergovernmental organizations including UNESCO and the United Nations, and ensuring that ICTSG's policies reflect the diversity and sovereignty of indigenous communities.
The committee held its inaugural session virtually in 2020, adopting its working rules and establishing four sub-committees focused on: Documentation & Encyclopedia; Youth & Education; Women & Inclusion; and Intergovernmental Relations.
"When a sport disappears, it is like a language no longer spoken. When we revive a game, we revive a culture."
