KOT FATEH: Prince Malik Atta Memorial Festival and Tent Pegging Cup 2021 was held at Kot Fateh Khan from 26 February 2021. The event was organised in the memory of the late Prince Malik Atta Muhammad Khan, chief of Kot Fateh Khan and a legend in the world of tent pegging and bull racing.

Tent Pegging (Neza Bazi), Kabbadi, Bull racing and hound race were the main features of the Festival. More than 150 teams participated in the Tent Pegging Cup which was won by the team of Director Sports and Games Mr. Baber Qayyum Raja in the team event by scoring 16 points in all rounds. 

The event was attended by President of the International Council of Traditional Sports and Games (ICTSG) Mr. Khalil Ahmed Khan, British High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr Christian Turner CMG, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Mr Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, Member ICTSG Advisory Committee and Senior Vice President Pakistan Council of Traditional Sports and Games Brig Azam Effendi (r), Director Sports and Games ICTSG Mr Babar Qayyum Raja, Sahibzada Sultan Bahadar Aziz, Sahibzada Sultan Safdar Awan, Mr Amir Munawar, Malik Arsalan and many other dignitaries.

Tent pegging or Neza Bazi is one of the most famous traditional sports in the Indo-Pak subcontinent and has its history starting from the time of Alexander the Great in 326 BC. In tent pegging, a horseman rides from the speed of a gallop using a lance or sword to piece into a ground target that looks like a tent peg.
